Whieldon type model of a Fox.


18th century Staffordshire creamware model of a Fox, seated on a mound base with a chicken under his right paw.
Decorated with typical ‘Whieldon’ type oxide colours.
Circa: 1760 – 1780, England
Height: 8.50cm (3.35 inches)
Condition: Minute chip to one ear and a few small chips to the edge of the base. Part of the right ear was missing in the original firing and is glazed over.
No restoration.
