Description
18th century Chinese export porcelain ‘trio’ (tea bowl, coffee cup & saucer) with unsual European style decoration of hand painted polychrome flower sprays within a border of entwined ribbons in blue enamel. (Originally with a gilt dentil border, now mostly worn away)
Probably in imitation or as replacement for a Meissen tea & coffee service.
Qianlong period.
Circa : 1775
Diameter of saucer : 5⅜” (13.7cm)
Condition: Chip & associated crack to rim of saucer (chip is filled in rather badly) see photos. Tea bowl and coffee cup in good condition. Gilding worn on all pieces.
