Description
A boldly decorated early 19th century Staffordshire pottery large group of Shepherd and Shepherdess, seated on a rocky mound base with a lamb and a goat at their feet.
Pearlware decorated with overglaze enamel colours.
Date: circa 1810
Height : 9½” (24cm)
Condition : A little good restoration to: Her left hand, chips to the brim of both hats, tiny piece of pipe, lamb’s left ear, goat’s right ear. It is likely that originally there was a seated dog beside the shepherd’s left knee. Small loss to bocage.
