Description
A fairly scarce early 19th century Staffordshire pottery figure of a young girl wrapped in a cloak, sometimes described as ‘A Roman Girl’ she is emblematic of Winter from a set of the Four Seasons.
Pearlware decorated with overglaze enamel colours.
Attributed to Enoch Wood . *(The moulds for this figure were reused at a later date by Thomas Parr and again even later by William Kent)
Date: circa 1810-20
Height : 7¼” (18.3cm)
Condition : Very good, just a few tiny flakes of enamel. No damage or restoration.
