Early 19th century English earthenware oval fruit basket and stand, decorated with hand painted band of thistles.
Impressed mark : ‘SEWELL *’
St Anthony’s Pottery, Newcastle upon Tyne.
Date: circa 1810-20
Length of stand : 9¼” (23.5cm)
Condition : Basket is in excellent original condition, the stand has had a section on the lattice rim glued at one end (see photos)
