Set of Chelsea Derby Porcelain Figures – ‘The French Seasons’

Description

A good quality set of 18th century Derby (Chelsea-Derby period) large figures representing the four seasons, Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, standing on shallow cylindrical bases with incised and gilded lines.
Winter is marked in gilt with a conjoined ‘Anchor & D’
*Possibly two pairs of figures ‘matched’ two have a double gilt line and two have single line, all colours match very well and they might have always been together.
Date: circa 1785
Height : 8¾” (22cm)
Condition : Three figures are in good condition with just very minor restoration (full details on request) Winter has been restored through legs and tree stump.
