Description
Set of three 18th century Chinese export porcelain baluster shape tankards, decorated with lakeside pagodas, trees and mountains, painted in underglaze blue and overglaze ‘famille rose’ enamels.
One tankard has it’s original handle, the other two have replacement brass/bronze handles with intricately woven rattan binding, these replacement were probably added later in the 18th century.
Qianlong period.
Date: circa 1760
Height : 6⅛” (15.5cm) 5¼” (13.3cm) 4¾” (12cm)
Condition : Tankard with original handle has some heat cracks to the body (see photos) No other damage and no restoration at all.
