Rare Bow Porcelain Vase With Putto Figures

Description

A very scarce 18th century Bow porcelain two handled vase, with ‘C’ scroll moulding, on a stepped rococo style base with three figures of putti, two holding theatrical masks and one playing a flute.
* This vase has many similarities to the famous ‘Handel vase’ in the British Museum collection (1938, 3-14, 113) and another vase in the Geoffrey Freeman Collection, illustrated by Anton Gabszewicz & Geoffrey Freeman, p95, pl138.
Date: circa 1759
Height : 7ΒΌ” (18.5cm)
Condition : Some very good restoration to: one handle of vase, one putto’s arm replaced & one arm reattached, masks and some chips & losses to some flower & leaves.
