Description

Late 18th century Staffordshire pottery jug with relief moulded decoration depicting portraits of Royal Navy officers ‘Captain Trollope’ and ‘Admiral Duncan’, with images of naval ships, figures and stylised leaves. Picked out in ‘Pratt’ type high temperature underglaze colours.
Circa : 1800
Height : 5⅜” (13.8cm)
Condition: Some discoloration and small losses to glaze, no restoration at all.
