‘A good pair of early Staffordshire Pearlware Figures – ‘Flemish Music’, a man playing a Hurdy Gurdy and a lady playing a Lute. The rocky mound bases are unusually decorated with large flowers, leaves and shredded clay ‘foliage’ to an extent rarely seen on early Staffordshire figures.
Date: circa 1800
Height : 8¼” (21cm)
Condition : Lady: Very good, just losses to some of the petals & leaves. Man: has been professionally restored through at thigh level, small unrestored chips to foliage etc.
