Pair of 19th century Staffordshire porcelain square base figures emblematic of the seasons, SUMMER : a girl holding a sheaf of corn and AUTUMN: A boy holding a goblet and a bunch of grapes.
Date: c 1840
Height : 6¾” (17cm)
Condition : Very good overall condition, Summer just has a small chip at the side of the base and a factory/firing crack to her ankle. Autumn just has a factory/firing chip at the back of the base. No restoration to either figure.
