An unusual pair of 19th century Staffordshire figures of a man playing a mandolin and a female companion dancing.
Hand painted model number ‘140’ to underside of bases.
Possibly by J Dudson, Stoke on Trent.*
Circa : 1840
Height : 7⅝” (19.5cm)
Condition: Overall condition is very good, small restoration to tuning head of his mandolin, old repair to girl’s right foot, a few small chips and some crazing & firing imperfections to the glaze with minor discolouration in a few areas.
