Description
A very decorative pair of 19th century Derby porcelain figures of Shepherd Musicians, on scroll moulded bases and with elaborate floral bocage, each figure has two candle sconces supported by flower entwined branches.
Blue enamel ‘crosses swords’ marks to underside of bases, with incised model numbers.
Date: circa 1840
Height : 8½” (21cm)
Condition : Overall condition is very good, just a few small restorations on two of the sconces and the neck of the girl’s lute. A few chips and small losses to some of the flowers, chipped edges have been touched up with colour. (See photos)
