Description
A good pair of 18th century Chelsea, gold anchor period figures of a gentleman & companion standing beside open sweetmeat baskets, with scroll moulded & gilded bases, colourful foliage, each with a dog sitting at their feet.
Gold anchor marks.
Circa : 1765
Height : 7¼” (18.5cm)
Condition: Some fairly minor professional restoration to : Male: left arm break at shoulder, lid of basket re-attached, fingers of left hand, handles of basket. Female: left hand re-attached, one handle of basket, fingers of right hand, some chips & losses to foliage. Pink enamel on cloaks is slightly worn in a few areas.
