Pair of 18th century Derby porcelain figures of musicians, a young man playing a Flageolet and Tabor (that’s a recorder and a little drum to you and I) his female companion tinkleing away at a triangle….
Patch marks and incised ‘No’ to underside of bases.
Circa : 1765-70
Height : 8″ (20.5cm)
Condition: Male: Excellent condition with just some restoration to his elbow, the arm has NOT been broken, it must have just been a chip. Minor chips and losses to some of the foliage around the base.
Female: Old restoration to her neck and both arms have been reattached at the shoulder. One feather is made up, as is most of her triangle & stick although her hands & fingers are original and undamaged. She has some losses to the foliage around the base.
