A good pair of early 18th century Chinese export porcelain tankards, modelled after a European metalware shape, decorated in ‘Chinese Imari’ style with underglaze blue, overglaze iron red and gilding.
Date: circa 1730
Height : 5″ (12.7cm)
Condition : Short and very faint hairline from the rim of one, faint crack to base of handle on the other. A few small chips and ‘frits’. No restoration.
