Pair of Antique English Porcelain Wall Pockets

Description

A very unusual pair of 19th century English porcelain ‘wall pockets’ relief moulded with Roses, Thistles and Shamrocks, decorated with reserves of hand painted flowers against a claret and pale yellow ground with gilding.
Attributed to Samuel Alcock, Burslem, Staffordshire.
Date: circa 1835-40
Height : 7″ (17.7cm)
Width: 5⅝” (14.3cm)
Condition : Very good, no damage or restoration, just minor surface wear from handling.
