Description
An unusual 19th century blue ‘dry body’ stoneware neo-classical style campana vase, decorated with a hand painted ‘Claudian Landscape’ in coloured enamels, moulded details of the fluted body and base picked out in gilding.
Maker unidentified, probably English.
Circa : 1820-30
Height : 9″ (23cm)
Condition: Good. Very faint stress crack, almost invisible. Minor surface wear from use, slight losses to the gilding in some areas. No restoration at all.
