Description
A very decorative early 19th century English porcelain plate, decorated with a hand painted panel of ‘Edwin and Angelina’ (titled to reverse) within a broad gold band and a border of hand painted flowers & foliage.
Attributed to Coalport, probably painted at an independent decorating studio.
Date: circa 1810-15
Diameter : 8⅛” (20.5cm)
Condition : Good, no damage or restoration. There is some abrasion to the gold band and an original firing chip/fault under the gilding (not unusual on ‘outside decorated’ wares)
