Early Staffordshire Lion

Description

A good early 19th century Staffordshire pottery model of a Lion, standing on a green mound base with moulded and painted scroll effect, one forepaw raised on a yellow ball.
Pearlware decorated with overglaze enamel colours.
Date: circa 1820
Height : 5½” (14cm)
Condition : just some good restoration to the tail only.
