Early 19th century Staffordshire pottery figure of ‘Charity’, standing on a rectangular base, holding a baby and with two children standing at her feet.
Pearlware pottery, decorated with unusually bold overglaze enamel colours.
Titled ‘Charity’ to front of base
Date: circa 1800-1810
Attributed to Ralph Wood, Burslem, Staffordshire.
Height : 8¼” (21cm)
Condition : Good, just the boy’s right hand has been restored. Very minor surface wear.
