A very extensive and highly decorative early 19th century SPODE dinner service, decorated in Kakiemon style with the famous ‘Tree of Life’ pattern (number 282)
Consisting of:
Oblong tureen & cover (with hand carved & gilded wood embelishments)
Oblong tureen & cover. (12¾”long)
40 Dinner Plates (10″)
15 Soup Plates (9¾”)
12 Small Plates (8¼”) * 2 small chips restored, 1 short hairline.
3 Square Tureens with covers (10″) *star crack to one lid.
2 Oblong Dishes with Central Division (without covers) *sl’ af
Oval Dish with Strainer Insert ( 16″x 12″) *strainer is earthenware.

Navette shape Dish (15″ x11″)
Square Salad Bowl (9½”) *wear to interior
2 Sauce Tureens & Covers. 4¾” high
Pattern numbers ‘282’ painted in red and some in gilt.
Date: circa 1805-10
Condition : Overall condition is very good, a few minor faults listed above, some surface wear from use and ‘stacking’
