Late 18th century Spode pearlware square tureen and cover, with transfer printed underglaze blue ‘Fitzhugh’ style decoration and gilt rims.

Date: circa 1795

Condition : Good, just a minute chip on the edge of the lid (see photos)
Slight wear to gilding. No restoration.
* a small chip on the underside of the base is from the original firing, caused by the ‘trivet’ kiln support.
