Derby Style, Continental Figure of a Winged Girl.

Description

Late 19th century Continental hard paste porcelain figure of a winged girl (cherabim or cherabette?) looking a bird perched on her left arm, the scantily clad little minx standing on a circular base with moulded scrolling and applied flowers.
Possibly emblematic of ‘Air’ from set of elements.
*Made in imitation of a Chelsea-Derby period figure of around 1780, similar copies can be seen all over Ebay and several of the supposedly ‘vetted’ online antiques ‘portal’ sites…
Date: circa 1880-1900
Height : 8″ (20.5cm)
Condition : Chips and small losses to some of the flowers and leaves only. No restoration.
