Derby Porcelain – Sevres Style Tea Tray – c1835

Description

A very decorative 19th century Derby porcelain octagonal tea tray with moulded handles, decorated with a hand painted reserve of colourful birds within a raised gilt floral band and a mazarine blue ground.
The bird painting is attributed to John Hancock Jnr.
Sevres style mark with ‘B’ (for Robert Bloor)
Date: circa 1835
Width: 14⅜︎” (36.5cm)
Height : 12½” (32cm)
Condition : Excellent original condition, a few surface scratches from use. No damage or restoration.
