Pair of Continental hard paste porcelain figures of a male flautist and a female hurdy gurdy player, in the Bloor Derby style.
Faux ‘Derby’ marks painted in red enamel.
Possibly Edme Samson of Paris, or similar manufacturer.
Date: circa Early 20th century.
Height : 5¼” (13.4cm)
Condition : Each figure has lost one finger and small section of the boy’s flute is missing, part of the girl’s base has been re-attached. Both bases have some ‘abrasion’ to to the edge (I think they have been fitted/glued into ormolu mounts at some time.
