A large and very decorative 18th century Worcester (Dr Wall/1st period) porcelain dessert serving dish, decorated with the ‘Lord Henry Thynne’ type pattern, a central riverscape reserve with turquoise ‘husk’ border, colourful groups of fruit and scattered birds and insects.
Crescent mark in underglaze blue.
Date: circa 1780-85
Length :  11⅞︎” (30cm)
Condition : Some losses to the gilt rim with associated small glaze loss, overall surface wear from use. Small chips to footrim which might be original firing faults. No restoration.
