18th century Worcester porcelain, Dr Wall or 1st period, dessert dish, with moulded relief decoration of rose buds and leaves, hand painted with polychrome flowers and gilding. The so called ‘Blind Earl’ pattern, named after the Earl of Coventry.
Date: circa 1770
Diameter : 7⅝︎” (19.5cm)
Condition : Chip and crack to the rim, stabilised with metal ‘staples’ this appears to be an extended firing flaw. A few other minor flaws and some surface wear from use. No hidden restoration at all.
