18th Century Chinese Export Porcelain Bowl.

Description

An unusual 18th century Chinese export porcelain small bowl, decorated with a rich underglaze blue ground, swags of hand painted European style flowers and gilding.
Qianlong period.
* Probably made in imitation or as replacement for 18th century Italian porcelain from Capodimonte. It doesn’t show well in the photos but the blue ground is actually on a raised moulded section of the porcelain, indicating that these pieces were made for this pattern, not ‘off the shelf’ blanks.
