A good quality 19th century English porcelain ‘Porter Mug’ with scroll moulded handle, decorated with puce bat printed panels for figures in country scenes against a dark cream/pale yellow ground with gilding, inscribed ‘W. Swift’ within a small oval cartouche.
Date: circa 1835
Height : 4″ (10cm)
Condition : Overall condition is good but there is a ‘bruise’ to the footrim with an associated small chip (see photos) light wear & small losses to gilding from use. No restoration at all.
