C19th English Porcelain, Ormolu Mounted Basket.

Description

Unusual and very decorative 19th century English porcelain deep plate, decorated in the ‘Clobbered’ style, with enamel painted dragons, birds and insects against a gilt ground, fitted with a good quality French ormolu mount with hinged over-handle.
Faux ‘Sevres’ style interlaced ‘L’s’ mark, painted in red
Attributed to C. J Mason, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire.
Date: circa 1830+

Condition :  Very good, no damage or restoration.
