Description
A very decorative early 19th century Coalport (or Davenport?) porcelain large ‘campana’ shape vase, with gilded handles and ‘Lion’ terminals. Well decorated with a hand painted country scene against a rich dark green ground with burnished and tooled gilding.
Circa : 1825
Height : 10½” (26.7cm)
Condition: Very good, there is a small area of flaking of enamel on the scene, luckily it is in the dark part of the foreground and barely shows, it has been touched in but not filled. No other damage or restoration at all, just a little wear to the gilding and minor scratches on the ground colour.
