C18th Worcester Teapot – Claret and Floral Stripes.

Description

18th century Worcester, 1st or Dr Wall Period porcelain teapot and cover, redecorated in the late 19th or early 20th century, with a vibrant pattern of claret stripes with raised gilding, alternating with panels of hand painted European flowers.
Unmarked.
Date: circa 1775+
Height : 6” (15cm)
Condition : Flower knop is a replacement, short crack to inner flange of lid,  stress crack inside body, near strainer holes, barely visible on the outside (see photos) some glaze spitting and indications of refiring.
