Description
18th Century English black glazed, red earthenware ‘Jackfield’ type, teapot & cover, standing on three ‘paw’ feet, with hexagonal/faceted spout, moulded ‘crabstock’ handle and a bird final to the lid.
Probably Staffordshire.
Date: circa 1760
Height : 4¾” (12cm)
Condition : Small loss to bird’s wing, chip to tip of spout, tiny glaze chips to rim and feet. No restoration.
