18th century Staffordshire creamware Satyr face mug, well moulded and decorated with splashes of green coloured glaze.
Date: circa : 1785
Height : 4½” (11.5cm)
Condition : Very faint & short hairline to rim, tiny glaze chips to foot. No restoration.
(there is an original firing ‘shrinkage’ crack to the rim, see photos)
