Early 18th century Chinese Imari style teapot and cover, decorated with underglaze blue and overglaze iron red with gilding.
Qianlong period, or earlier.
Date: c 1740 (possibly earlier)
Height : 5″ (12.5cm)
Length overall: 7½” (19cm)
Condition : Small chip to tip of spout and a few small chips to the edge of the lid (see photos). Typical light fritting to the knop. No restoration at all.
