Description
An attractive mid-18th Century Chinese export porcelain small rectangular platter with canted corners, painted in underglaze blue with a typical scene of a lakeside pagoda and fishing boats etc, overpainted in England, in the 19th century, with colourful flowers, iron red diaper borders and gilding.
Faux Chinese mark to underside.
Date: circa 1750 + c1830’s decoration
Length : 9¼” (23.5cm)
Width: 5⅝” (14.3cm)
Condition : Good, a couple of tiny rim chips which are under the gilding, some surface wear from use. No restoration.
