A good early 18th century Chinese export porcelain baluster shaped tankard, modelled after a European metalware design, decorated in ‘Chinese Imari’ style with underglaze blue, overglaze iron red and gilding.
Date: circa 1730
Height : 5″ (12.7cm)
Condition : A faint crack to base of handle (see photos) . A small chip to the rim, some fitting to the footrim. No restoration.
