Large Staffordshire pottery bust of The Reverend John Wesley, pearlware decorated with overglaze enamel colours.
Moulded plaque to back of socle: ‘ The Rev John Wesley M.A. Died Mar 2 1791, Aged 88, Enoch Wood Sculp, Burslem’
Date: circa 1800
Height : 12½” (32cm)
Condition : Good, a flake on left shoulder filled in, some losses to black enamel at the back. Faint glaze crack below the plaque.
