Antique Derby Porcelain Large Bough Pot, c1820-25

Description

A very decorative *SINGLE early 19th century Derby (Robert Bloor period) bombé shape bough pot with scroll moulded handles & feet, decorated with a hand painted rectangular panel of figures in rural scenes and gilding.
*painting of the panels is attributed to William Dixon who is well known for his figure painting at the Derby factory c1820-23.
Circular Bloor Derby mark in red.
Circa : 1820-25
Height: 4⅜” (11cm)
Length: 8½” (21.5cm)
Condition: Small chips to each of the rear feet, the lid is missing, minor wear to gilding from use. (no restoration)
