Description
C18th Dr Wall/1st Period Worcester porcelain lobed oval chestnut basket or ‘Cream Bason’ [sic], with pierced stand & cover, with moulded ‘crabstock’ handles and crisply modelled applied flowers and leaves, decorated with printed printed fruit sprays, featuring flowers and fruit etc.
Marks: Script ‘W’ to bowl, ‘hatched crescent’ to stand.
Date: circa 1770-75
Height : 5½” (14cm)
Length of stand: 10¾” (27.5cm)
Condition : Very good, a few tiny chips & losses to a few of the leaves only. Two tiny stress cracks to the underside of the stand. No restoration at all.
