Scarce Set of Four C18th Bow Porcelain Putti ‘Seasons’

Description

A scarce set of four 18th century Bow porcelain figures of putti, emblematic of the four seasons, SPRING  holding a bird’s nest, SUMMER holding a sheaf of corn,  AUTUMN holding grapes & a goblet, WINTER holding a small brazier and with berries in the bocage. Each standing on a three footed, scroll moulded base with low bocage.
Date: circa 1765
Height : 6⅛︎” (15.5cm)
Condition :  The figures are all in very good condition, just one arm (Winter) has been cleanly re-attached, there is some minor restoration to some of the bocage,  some flowers & three of the base feet. Some unrestored chips and losses to flowers etc. Summer’s sickle is missing. (can be restored quite easily)
