Scarce Staffordshire Porcelain Lioness and Cub

Description

A scarce 19th century Staffordshire porcelain model of a recumbent Lioness with her cub, on a dark green rocky mound base with gilt line.
Attributed to Samuel Alcock & Co, Burslem, Staffordshire.
Date: circa 1835-40
length of base : 4¼” (11cm)
Condition : A small amount of fairly old restoration: right ear chip, cub’s right ear, lioness’s left paw re-attached, tiny piece of tail.
