Description
A scarce early Bow porcelain figure of a girl selling fish from her apron and a basket at her feet, standing on a square mound base decorated with applied seashells.
Probably modelled by John Toulouse, after a Meissen model by Kaendler.
Date: circa 1758
Height : 6” (15.2cm)
Condition : Some good restoration to arm breaks, one fish tail, and handles of basket. An extended ‘firing crack’ to the base has been stabilised.
