Description

A fine pair of 19th century Staffordshire porcelain small figures of a female hurdy gurdy player and a male flautist, standing on mound bases with moulded scrolling. The figures are finely decorated with enamel colours and gilding.
Date: circa 1835-40
Height (flautist): 4⅜︎” (11.2cm)
Condition : Good. Male: tiny repair to end of flute and corner of jacket only. Female: no restoration, just losses to ribbons on hat.
