Early Staffordshire (Prattware) Figure of AUTUMN

Description

Late 18th century Staffordshire pearlware pottery figure of a young man holding a bunch of grapes over a goblet, emblematic of Autumn from a set of the four seasons, crisply moulded and decorated with high temperature ‘Pratt’ type underglaze colours.
Impressed title: ‘AUTUMN’ to front of base.
Date: circa 1790
Height : 7½” (19cm)
Condition : Very good, just a few small chips to the base and some minor surface wear. No restoration at all.
