Description
Early 19th century Coalport porcelain dessert plate with indented rim, decorated with a central reserve of hand painted flowers in a bowl, surrounded by various fruits, within a rich cobalt blue border with elaborate gilding.
*The painting has been attributed to the workshop of William Billingsley at Mansfield, see references below.
Date: circa 1800-1805
Diameter : 8⅝︎” (23cm)
Condition : Star crack to centre. Very minor ‘stacking wear’ to gilding from use. (Please see additional photographs)
