Early Coalport Porcelain Plate (18477) Basket of Fruit & Flowers & a Bird

Description

Early 19th century Coalport porcelain dessert plate with indented rim, decorated with a central reserve of hand painted fruit & flowers in a basket with a small bird perched on the Cherries,  within a rich cobalt blue border with elaborate gilding.
*The painting has been attributed to the workshop of William Billingsley at Mansfield, see references below.
Date: circa 1800-1805
Diameter : 8⅝︎” (23cm)
Condition : Some ‘stacking wear’ to gilding from use. Typical light crazing to glaze. No restoration. (Please see additional photographs)
