A good quality early 19th century Staffordshire pottery model of a Pointer, standing on a mound base with elaborate floral and leaf bocage.
Inspired by the painting of ‘The Spanish Pointer’ by Stubbs (see photos)
Attributed to Enoch Wood.
Date: circa 1825
Height : 5¾” (14.5cm)
Condition : A little good restoration to the bocage, tail and some overpainting (to flaking) on the base and tree trunk.
