C18th Worcester porcelain fluted tea cup, decorated with the ‘Dalhousie’ pattern, the interior with a hand painted circular riverside scene within a husk border, the exterior painted with groups of colourful fruit alternating with insects, beneath a cobalt blue border with gilding.
Open crescent mark
Date: circa 1780-90
Height : 1⅞” (4.7cm)
Condition : Crack to base of handle, fine crack at top of handle which runs about ½” into the cup (see photos) tiny gilt loss to rim.
